Why Grown Naturally
You may feel that growing your own produce
is difficult enough without adding to the problems by growing them naturally.
There are several reasons for going all natural. First, you don't have to worry
about handling chemicals and fertilizers. Second, in my opinion (your mileage
may vary here), naturally produced vegetables taste so much better! Third, it's
not really that much more work, the methods are different, but not much more.
That's why Malick Farms is here to help. Fourth reason, chemical free vegetables
are better for you. Finally, why go to all that effort to produce a substitute
for cheap factory-produced food? Much better to go for the real stuff! British
Government is always telling us to eat more healthier. They say everybody should
consume a minimum of five portions of fruit and vegetables everyday. But how
many chemicals are there in that much conventionally farmed produce? Naturally
Grown fruit and vegetables may be hard to find at a decent price. And if you do
find a supplier like Malick Farms, often the natural produce that is offered is
better for you and looks almost just as good as fertilized produce.
Community Supported Gardens
Community supported gardens consists of a group of individuals who pledge to support a garden operation so that the garden personally becomes their own with the growers providing mutual support and sharing the risks and benefits of food production. Typically members of the garden pledge in advance to cover the anticipated costs of the operation. In return, you will receive the garden's bounty throughout the growing season, as well as satisfaction gained from reconnecting to the land and participating directly in the food production. Members also share in the risks of farming, including poor harvests due to unfavorable weather or pests. You will receive much less burden of gardening when Malick Farms is there to assist the gardens and gardeners. We understand how busy everyday lifestyles are and how important it is to just have the rewarding help and information always available to your from Malick farms. We hope you have a wonderful and plentiful garden our farm and most of all we hope you take with you what you learn. Don't forget to give the goats your weeds they love em.
Cost & Guidelines
~ $100.00 dollars for a 12X12 garden
~ Master Gardener always available
~ Seedlings will be provided by Malick Farms since we grow all Certified Naturally
~ All garden work is done by community of garden owners.
~Harvest buckets are available to pick your crops with ~ Bring backs to bring your harvest home~
Pumpkins and gourds will be grown and available for all members
Meat bird chickens are sold out for 2011!
